Our Journey Begins: MailShieldAI Joins the iAccelerate Incubator

The 5th of March 2025 marked an exciting new chapter for our startup, MailShieldAI, as we officially commenced our journey in the iAccelerate incubator program. As a newly formed company dedicated to transforming email security through real-time machine learning classification, we were eager to take this next step in our entrepreneurial journey.

The Origin of MailShieldAI

Our story began at the University of Wollongong, where my co-founders, Harsha (CEO), Sami, and I met as final-year Computer Science students. What started as a capstone project, inspired by Harsha’s vision for a smarter, more efficient approach to email security, soon evolved into something far greater. Recognizing the potential of our solution, we took the leap and founded MailShieldAI with the goal of bringing enterprise-grade email security to users worldwide.

Joining iAccelerate

The decision to apply for the iAccelerate program was driven by our ambition to expand our network, connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, and gain invaluable guidance from experienced business leaders. When we received the news in February that we had been accepted into the March 2025 intake, we were overjoyed. This was more than just an opportunity for growth; it was a validation of the work we had poured into MailShieldAI.

Induction Day: A Warm Welcome

Walking into the iAccelerate space for the first time as participants, we were immediately struck by the energy and collaborative spirit of the community. The induction program was thoughtfully structured, providing us with an in-depth introduction to the ecosystem and the resources available to us. It was an eye-opening experience to witness the diversity of start-ups working on groundbreaking solutions across various industries.

A standout moment of the day was the quick-fire pitch session, where each start-up had just one minute to present their product to the rest of the cohort. It was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking, but an invaluable experience in refining how we communicate our vision. Seeing the interest and enthusiasm from our peers reinforced our belief in the impact MailShieldAI could have.

Looking Ahead

As we settle into the program, we are excited to make the most of every opportunity—whether that be through mentorship, networking events, or simply learning from fellow entrepreneurs who are on similar journeys. iAccelerate has already provided us with a sense of belonging, and we look forward to growing, innovating, and contributing to this vibrant community.
